Hand Shape:
Left hand remains in "S" shape throughout the action. Right hand begins with "1" shape (pointing) and finishes as "S" shape.

Hold left hand in front of your chest. Begin sign by pointing with your right hand at your forehead (same as "think") and then move it to rest on your left hand, changing to an "S" shape as you do. When completed, your right hand should be on top of your left with your palms facing slightly toward your body. Motion is the same as that for "believe."
Variations:

variation 1

variation 2
Some people use "F" hands instead of "S" hands (See Variation 1). The "F" is used in Pidgin Signed English to make this an initialized sign, but it has become accepted in ASL. Another version of the sign begins with both hands in open "5" shape in front of the body, palms facing each other; close hands into "S" fists as you move them into the final position of the above sign (See Variation 2).
Definition:
Belief in God that leads to trust in Him and loyalty to Him. It may also refer to belief in something that cannot be seen or proven materially. Also belief in and adherence to religious doctrines.
