Bible Reading: Luke 21:1-4

CookiesImagine that you are holding two of your favorite cookies. Now imagine that one cookie is big and thick and the other cookie is small and thin. If someone walked into the room, which cookie would you give them? Which cookie would you keep for yourself?

Now imagine that God comes into the room and He asks for both cookies. Would you give Him both your favorite cookies? The poor widow in our Bible Reading today gave God two small coins — this was all that she had! Verse 4b says, “This woman is very poor. But she gave all she had. And she needed that money to help her live.”

When you give your life to God, He wants to control everything in your life: the games you play, the places you go, the things you say/sign, the TV shows you watch, EVERYTHING!

Think about your life today. Are you letting God control all your life? — GT

“At one time all these things were important to me. But I decided that those things... are worth nothing compared with the greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Philippians 3:7-8a

PRAYER: Lord, I want to give You all of my life today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
